To develop in a student the qualities of a nurse who can provide comprehensive nursing care to the sick admitted to the hospital with varied medical and surgical conditions.
To train a student as a midwife, able to give necessary supervisory care and services to women during pregnancy, labour, and the postpartum period, to conduct deliveries on her own responsibility, and to take care of the newborn
and the infant.
To impart training to the student so as to enable her to teach and supervise appropriate nursing and health care to patients, families, the general public, and other cooperating personnel in the health care delivery system, thus
taking part in the promotion of health, prevention of disease and in rehabilitation.
The Curriculum and the syllabus for the course shall be as prescribed in these regulations and are subject to modifications by the Board of Studies (BOS) and the Standing Academic committee from time to time.
The concerned Head of the Department shall evaluate the practical Record (Internal Evaluation) and the Practical Record shall be submitted to the principal 15 days prior to the commencement of the theory examination and to be presented
to the external practical examiner.
At the time of the Practical Examination, each candidate shall submit to the Examiners his / her Practical Record Book duly certified by the Head of the Department as a bonafide record of the work done by the candidate.(*Applicable
only for practical examination subjects).
The Institution shall declare for six weeks of vacation in an academic year to the students as per the institutional annual academic calendar, subject to the approval of competent authority.

संबंधित विभागाध्यक्ष प्रायोगिक रिकार्ड (आंतरिक मूल्यांकन) का मूल्यांकन करेंगे और प्रायोगिक रिकार्ड को सैद्धांतिक परीक्षा शुरू होने से 15 दिन पहले प्राचार्य को सौंप दिया जाएगा तथा उसे बाह्य प्रायोगिक परीक्षक के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किया जाएगा।
प्रायोगिक परीक्षा के समय, प्रत्येक अभ्यर्थी को परीक्षकों को विभागाध्यक्ष द्वारा विधिवत् प्रमाणित अपनी प्रायोगिक रिकॉर्ड बुक प्रस्तुत करनी होगी, जो अभ्यर्थी द्वारा किए गए कार्य का वास्तविक रिकॉर्ड हो। (*केवल प्रायोगिक परीक्षा विषयों के लिए लागू)।
संस्थान को सक्षम प्राधिकारी के अनुमोदन के अधीन, संस्थागत वार्षिक शैक्षणिक कैलेंडर के अनुसार विद्यार्थियों के लिए शैक्षणिक वर्ष में छह सप्ताह का अवकाश घोषित करना होगा।
