  • About
    • Anatomy is beyond bone and muscles, it is about mankind: How life begins and how human development occurs, how the variations occur because of adaptation to the given environment. Astute observation of macroscopic and microscopic structures, and their functions, and vice versa aid the students to understand the diseases and dysfunction in these structures.
    • The success of the department is implied by its faculty and staff who support various endeavors: transcendence in teaching and research. The Department imparts a great deal of knowledge to the First MBBS students in various disciplines of Anatomy by adopting robust teaching and learning methods such as Visible body, Google classroom, Crosswords puzzle through Google groups, weekly case-based questions, Problem based learning, seminar and integrated teaching.
    • “Mortui Vivos Docent” (L) – “The Dead teach the living”. The human cadaver plays an essential role in learning anatomy. The Department has ample cadavers for undergraduate medical teaching as well as for conducting cadaveric workshops.

INFORMATION TO THE DONORS FOR WHOLE BODY DONATION

  • Department of Anatomy, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Mangalagiri, accepts donation of body after death for teaching and scientific advancement.
  • Donors who are willing to donate their body after death must discuss about their wish with their immediate family members and other relevant people,before making the decision.
  • To obtain willingness of body donation, an application (Body Donation Form) is available in the Institute website and Office of Department of Anatomy, AIIMS Mangalagiri, which is located in the first floor of medical college Building.
  • The Body Donation Form duly completed by the donor should be returned to the Office of Department of Anatomy, AIIMS Mangalagiri, for registration.
  • Donor Card will be issued after registration of the individual.
  • Documents to be submitted at the time of registration of  Body Donation:
    1. Form I - Duly filled Body Donation Form along with the witness signature of next of Kin (near relative).
    2. A passport size photograph.
    3. Identify proof of the donor (Voter card/Aadhar card).
  • Unregistered body donations will also be accepted with prior intimation to the Office of Department of Anatomy, soon after the death of an individual.
  • After the death of the donor, it is the responsibility of the relatives of the deceased (donor) to inform the Department of Anatomy, AIIMS Mangalagiri, about the death and discuss the procedure of donation with the faculty of Department of Anatomy.
    1. Timings: Monday–Friday: (08:30 AM – 04:30PM)
    2. Saturday: (08:30 AM – 01:00 PM)
  • If, the body is accepted for donation, then the family members of the deceased are requested to bring the body on their own to AIIMS Mangalagiri.
  • Please note that the donation of the body may not be accepted, if the donor has the following conditions: HIV, infective hepatitis, active tuberculosis, sepsis, gas gangrene, tetanus infection, putrefied bodies, COVID-19 positive, body after road traffic accident, medico-legal case or any other form of unnatural death. Such bodies are a serious health hazard to the medical students and the staff handling them.
  • It is requested that any relative/friend of the deceased discuss the matter with the faculty from Department of Anatomy, at the time of death. After the faculty is satisfied with the information about the cause of death and the condition of the body etc., the donation will be accepted.
  • Documents to be submitted at the time of handing over the body by the legal heir / near relatives/next of kin. (Registered donors and Unregistered donors)
    1. Consent (Form-II) and undertaking (Form-III) by the applicant with Identify proof (Voter ID / Aadhar card) of legal heir/next of kin/near relatives of the deceased, who are present at the time of hand over of body to the Department of Anatomy AIIMS, Mangalagiri
    2. Medical Certificate of cause of Death by registered medical practitioner (Form 4 – for Institutional (Hospitalised) deaths or Form 4A – For Non-institutional deaths).
    3. Identity proof of the deceased donor (Voter ID / Aadhar card).
    4. Death certificate from municipality / panchayat (to be submitted within 1 month from date of donation).
    5. Brief Medical history of the Donor (Form-V).
  • The dead body/cadaver should be brought to the Department of Anatomy during above mentioned timings. The information of death should be shared with the Department of Anatomy, as early as possible, so that the Department can make necessary arrangements for further processing of the body. We request the relatives to make necessary arrangements to bring the body to the Department of Anatomy AIIMS, Mangalagiri.
  • The body may either be used immediately or preserved for variable periods of time for future use. After full utilization, the remains will be scientifically disposed.

संपूर्ण शरीर दान के लिए दानकर्ताओं को सूचना

  • अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान मंगलगिरी का एनाटॉमी विभाग शिक्षण और वैज्ञानिक उन्नति के लिए मृत्यु के बाद शरीर दान स्वीकार करता है।
  • जो दानकर्ता मृत्यु के बाद अपना शरीर दान करने के इच्छुक हैं, उन्हें निर्णय लेने से पहले अपने निकटतम परिवार के सदस्यों और अन्य संबंधित लोगों से अपनी इच्छा के बारे में चर्चा करनी चाहिए।
  • शरीर दान की इच्छा प्राप्त करने के लिए, एक आवेदन (शरीर दान प्रपत्र) संस्थान की वेबसाइट और एनाटॉमी विभाग, एम्स मंगलगिरी के कार्यालय में उपलब्ध है, जो मेडिकल कॉलेज भवन की पहली मंजिल पर स्थित है।
  • शरीर दान प्रपत्र दाता द्वारा विधिवत भरा गया फॉर्म पंजीकरण के लिए एम्स मंगलगिरी के एनाटॉमी विभाग के कार्यालय में वापस किया जाना चाहिए।
  • व्यक्ति के पंजीकरण के बाद डोनर कार्ड जारी किया जाएगा।
  • शरीर दान के पंजीकरण के समय प्रस्तुत किए जाने वाले दस्तावेज:
    1. फॉर्म I – निकटतम रिश्तेदार (निकटतम रिश्तेदार) के गवाह हस्ताक्षर के साथ विधिवत भरा हुआ शरीर दान फॉर्म।
    2. पासपोर्ट आकार की तस्वीर।
    3. दाता का पहचान प्रमाण (वोटर कार्ड/आधार कार्ड)।
  • किसी व्यक्ति की मृत्यु के तुरंत बाद एनाटॉमी विभाग के कार्यालय को पूर्व सूचना के साथ अपंजीकृत शरीर दान भी स्वीकार किया जाएगा।
  • दाता की मृत्यु के बाद, मृतक (दाता) के रिश्तेदारों की यह जिम्मेदारी है कि वे एनाटॉमी विभाग, एम्स मंगलगिरी को मृत्यु के बारे में सूचित करें और एनाटॉमी विभाग के संकाय के साथ दान की प्रक्रिया पर चर्चा करें।
    1. समय: सोमवार-शुक्रवार: (08:30 AM – 04:30 PM)
    2. शनिवार: (08:30 AM – 01:00 PM)
  • यदि, शरीर दान के लिए स्वीकार किया जाता है, तो मृतक के परिवार के सदस्यों से अनुरोध है कि वे शरीर को स्वयं ही एम्स मंगलगिरी ले आएं।
  • कृपया ध्यान दें कि यदि दाता में निम्नलिखित स्थितियाँ हैं, तो शरीर का दान स्वीकार नहीं किया जा सकता है: एचआईवी, संक्रामक हेपेटाइटिस, सक्रिय तपेदिक, सेप्सिस, गैस गैंग्रीन, टेटनस संक्रमण, सड़ा हुआ शरीर, कोविड-19 पॉजिटिव, सड़क दुर्घटना के बाद का शरीर, मेडिको-लीगल केस या किसी अन्य प्रकार की अप्राकृतिक मृत्यु। ऐसे शव मेडिकल छात्रों और उन्हें संभालने वाले कर्मचारियों के लिए गंभीर स्वास्थ्य खतरा हैं।
  • यह अनुरोध किया जाता है कि मृतक का कोई भी रिश्तेदार/मित्र मृत्यु के समय एनाटॉमी विभाग के संकाय से इस मामले पर चर्चा करें। संकाय द्वारा मृत्यु के कारण और शरीर की स्थिति आदि के बारे में जानकारी से संतुष्ट होने के बाद, दान स्वीकार किया जाएगा।
  • कानूनी उत्तराधिकारी/निकटतम रिश्तेदार/निकटतम रिश्तेदार (पंजीकृत दाता और अपंजीकृत दाता) द्वारा शव सौंपते समय प्रस्तुत किए जाने वाले दस्तावेज।
    1. आवेदक द्वारा सहमति (फॉर्म-II) और मृतक के कानूनी उत्तराधिकारी/निकटतम रिश्तेदार/निकटतम रिश्तेदारों की पहचान प्रमाण (वोटर आईडी/आधार कार्ड) के साथ अंडरटेकिंग (फॉर्म-III), जो शरीर को एनाटॉमी विभाग एम्स, मंगलगिरी को सौंपने के समय मौजूद हों
    2. पंजीकृत चिकित्सक द्वारा मृत्यु के कारण का चिकित्सा प्रमाण पत्र (फॉर्म 4 – संस्थागत (अस्पताल में भर्ती) मौतों के लिए या फॉर्म 4ए – गैर-संस्थागत मौतों के लिए)।
    3. मृतक दाता का पहचान प्रमाण (वोटर आईडी/आधार कार्ड)।
    4. नगरपालिका/पंचायत से मृत्यु प्रमाण पत्र (दान की तिथि से 1 महीने के भीतर प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिए)।
    5. दाता का संक्षिप्त चिकित्सा इतिहास (फॉर्म-V)।
  • मृत शरीर/शव को अस्पताल लाया जाना चाहिए। उपरोक्त समय के दौरान एनाटॉमी विभाग में मृत्यु की सूचना जल्द से जल्द एनाटॉमी विभाग के साथ साझा की जानी चाहिए, ताकि विभाग शव की आगे की प्रक्रिया के लिए आवश्यक व्यवस्था कर सके। हम रिश्तेदारों से अनुरोध करते हैं कि वे शव को एनाटॉमी विभाग, एम्स, मंगलगिरी में लाने के लिए आवश्यक व्यवस्था करें।
  • शरीर का या तो तुरंत उपयोग किया जा सकता है या भविष्य में उपयोग के लिए कुछ समय के लिए संरक्षित किया जा सकता है। पूर्ण उपयोग के बाद, अवशेषों का वैज्ञानिक तरीके से निपटान किया जाएगा।

    విభాగానికి అప్పగించండి

    1. రిజిస్టర్డ్ మెడికల్ ప్రాక్టీషనర్ ద్వారా మరణానికి కారణమైన వైద్య ధృవీకరణ పత్రం (ఫారం 4 – సంస్థాగత (హాస్పిటలైజ్డ్) మరణాలకు లేదా ఫారమ్ 4A – సంస్థాగత మరణాల కోసం).

  • పై పేర్కొన్న సమయాల్లో మృతదేహాన్ని/శవాన్ని శరీర నిర్మాణ శాస్త్ర విభాగానికి తీసుకురావాలి. మరణం యొక్క సమాచారాన్ని వీలైనంత త్వరగా అనాటమీ విభాగంతో పంచుకోవాలి, తద్వారా శరీరం యొక్క తదుపరి ప్రాసెసింగ్ కోసం డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్ అవసరమైన ఏర్పాట్లు చేయవచ్చు. మృతదేహాన్ని మంగళగిరిలోని అనాటమీ డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్ ఎయిమ్స్‌కు తీసుకురావడానికి అవసరమైన ఏర్పాట్లు చేయవలసిందిగా బంధువులను కోరుతున్నాము.
